Rebar Location

Using high frequency Ground penetrating Radar (GPR) antennas, Four Oaks Geophysics is able to identify the location of rebar, conduit, post tension wires, filled vs unfilled cells of a concrete block wall, and the location of steel beams within concrete slabs, beams or columns. In most cases, not only can Four Oaks Geophysics provide the horizontal location of the rebar, but also the depth beneath the concrete*, thickness of the concrete slab or block if unknown, spacing between the rebar and in some cases, the approximate diameter of the rebar.

*The depth beneath the concrete that is reported by Four Oaks Geophysics is dependent on the accessible side of the concrete. In some cases, the accessible side is the bottom of the slab. This information will be made clear within the report supplied to you, the client, after the field work is completed.
